Shipping Policy

Matsuhisa Japan ships premium tableware (ceramics and porcelain) across Japan and to destinations worldwide, combining careful packing with proactive tracking updates.
1. Shipping Carriers
Domestic (Japan): Yamato Transport, Sagawa Express
International: EMS (Express Mail Service), FedEx, DHL
2. Processing Time
Orders are typically shipped within 5 business days after confirmation (same-day for card payments, within 5 business days after bank transfer is confirmed).
If inventory is limited or there are large quantities, we might need extra days; we will notify you by email if a delay is expected.
Once shipment is ready, a confirmation email with the tracking number will be sent. You can check the latest status directly with the carrier through the tracking link.
3. Estimated Delivery Time
Within Japan: Delivered within 1-3 days after dispatch in most cases.
International:
- Asia: 3-7 business days after dispatch
- North America / Oceania: 7-14 business days
- Europe: 7-14 business days
Delivery may take longer depending on customs, destination, or flight availability. Please allow additional time for remote areas.
4. Shipping Fees
Shipping fees are auto-calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and the package weight including cushioning materials.
Domestic Shipping (Japan):
- Free shipping for orders over ¥20,000 (excluding tax)
- Flat fee ¥1,500 for orders ¥20,000 (excluding tax) or below
International Shipping:
Fees include transportation costs, packaging, and handling.
(Approximate: ¥2,500+ for Asia, ¥4,500+ for North America / Oceania, ¥5,000+ for Europe)
Actual fees depend on weight, parcel count, and flight conditions. Final figures appear after entering your delivery address in the cart.
INTERNATIONAL NOTICE
Customs inspections or additional reviews may extend delivery times for international shipments.
Shipping can fluctuate due to size or overweight adjustments, so please review the final amount before confirming the order.
5. Customs Duties and Import Taxes (International Orders)
Important: Customs duties, VAT, GST, and other fees may apply in the recipient's country or region.
These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in product prices or shipping fees.
Amounts are determined by local customs authorities and cannot be confirmed in advance; please contact the customs office in your destination country.
If customs or import charges are refused and the package is returned to Japan, we will refund the item price after deducting round-trip shipping and return handling.
※Refunds are not available if the package is damaged or lost during return shipping.
6. Packaging
Our tableware is fragile. Each piece is wrapped with air cushions and protective foam to ensure it survives long-distance transport. Whenever possible, we incorporate recyclable or reusable materials to reduce environmental impact.
